Here is our Hen, born on the 4th November at 7.50pm weighing a very impressive 9 lb 1.5 oz and 53 cms in length. An epically life changing event.

The journey so far has been one big intense rollar coaster while I stumble along this road of motherhood. We have laughed and cried more times than I can count and I seem to love this little boy more with every passing moment.

Our fur babies have done well. Minx didn’t care much for being my labour support and exited in flight after biting my face during a contraction. Molly of course was by my side until we headed into hospital and has not left it since we returned. Except for the 3am feeds, she feels it is more important to keep my spot in bed warm rather than join me for that one.

The night Hen arrived ended with my favourite moment of all time: a room filled with our family and our new baby boy being passed around, celebrated and so loved. I have never felt so full, a part of something so much bigger than me.

The amount of congratulations, support and care we have received has been overwhelming and I want to say thank you to each and every one of you who has reached out. Especially to my amazing clients, who have not only been a little more patient in my communications but have also sent the most amazing things for Hen; outfits, books and toys fill his room.

Here are a few moments we had captured when we got home from hospital. These were photographed by Milina Opsenica, such a clever gentle soul.
